Best book for a beginner?

I apologize if this is in the wrong forum, but I figured A+ would be a good place to start.

A relative of mine is looking to break into the IT field, perhaps starting off in a help-desk role. She has a basic understanding of computers, and was a power user at her last job. She's never done any tech support work, nor does she hold any certs.

What is the best book for someone just getting started in a help-desk IT Support role?

I would say get the 901-902 A+ book from Mike Meyer's
