there are typically some unscored questions in the exam.
however they are random (otherwise you could just skip the first 8

).

just don't worry about unscored stuff and treat every question with the utmost respect

so how am I going to know which are unscored items? Is there any indication anywhere?

no. you don't know which ones are unscored or if there even are any (if i remember well it says that there might be some, but not necessarily).
that's why i said don't think about that, treat them all equally. and if you get a question wrong that isn't scored, well lucky you.
