Hi All
i wish u r all in agood health.I have a question about Auxiliary Port.when we use aux port to remotly configure the router by dialing a modem connected to aux port, can i use this method for initial configuration (when the router hasn't precofigured) or it must have for example at least one interface configured with IP address which is essantial for telnet.
Another question, can i use aux for passsword recovey ???
Thanks in advance

I do not believe so...When i tried to password recover my Cisco 4000 I was not able to because I believe it's a tty connection....I may be wrong...

Initial router configuration has to be done through the console. I mean it makes sense, right? Because you need at least one ip address on your router before you can remotely manage it.
Also as far as I know password recovery has to be done through your console. As soon as you use the reload command from a non-console connection, because your using an out-of-band connection you lose it.
