SSCP vs Security+--New to IS Field
MikeMaine
Hello guys,
I'm new to IS field. This is something I've always wanted to do and I am very excited about it. I am currently in the last week of my internship in IS-GRC Dept. I love the GRC sector of the field and my goal is to stay.
I am currently studying for the Security+ exam and have been reading a lot on the SSCP.
SSCP or Security+ if I am focused on the GRC side? I eventually want to obtain the CISA and go into auditing.
Any info is very much appreciated.
Thanks

Either one, content wise either one will be beneficial in your path towards CISA and GRC.
Since you're so new to this field and your resume probably doesn't have a ton of relevant experience I'd recommend Sec+ as it is more recognized especially by HR.
