Short time lurker, first time poster. But in the brief time I've been on this site, I've already been motivated to finish my BS. Starting WGU on 9/1 for my BS: IT Sec degree, currently doing some prep for Linux+.
Reading about everyone's experiences with WGU and certs has me motivated to join the ranks move up with my career.

albinorhino187 Member Posts: 117 ■■■□□□□□□□I was just looking at my post history and wanted to resurrect this to just to say WOW! Like I said in my first post back in August 2016, I was just starting WGU with a little less than half the credits needed for a Bachelor's. I had my CCNA R/S as well as the CompTIA trifecta, an associate's from another school, and i was about 5 years into a jack-of-all-trades, 1 man IT job that was underpaying with nowhere to move up. I finished my bachelors in 7 months, added Linux+, Project+, and CCNA Security to my resume by April 2017, got a new job for the state as a Jr. Network Engineer in June 2017, earned my CCNP in August of 2018, and was promoted to Senior Network Engineer for the same state agency last month. Now I'm in the middle of studying for my first CCIE lab attempt before they change in February.
What a crazy journey, and this forum was a huge part of that for giving me the motivation to kick everything off and keep up with it.CCIE RS - Written (Goal: July 2019) [ ] Lab [ ] -
