I stumbled across a thread here via a Google search and hope it's okay to post my resume.
I have been in the Corrections field (State Dept Of Corrections) for the past 6yrs and wish to return to the IT Field. I will apply for an Installation Technician Trainee position for the local cable company. It seems to be a decent company to advance with. My intention is to return to college part time as well as upgrade my certifications.
My concern is resume format. It would seem that a Functional Format would serve me best. I was wondering if people who frequent this board agree?
Clearly, my certifications are obsolete but it should demonstrate my capability to learn. If I finesse the following into a functional resume, is that my best option?
Any constructive suggestions are much appreciated...
