Reputation and permissions

I joined this forum awhile back but it's obvious that I've been just a lurker, just looking at threads/posts for a particular exam I was studying for.
I'd like to be a little more active here but there are a few things I can't seem to do. I can't view anyone's profile or even my own profile and inbox. I get a message saying I don't have permissions or my account hasn't been activated yet. I thought I activated my account awhile back when I joined but maybe I didn't?
I also have no idea how to give reputation to anyone, and I've searched everywhere. Is this because I'm still considered a newbie so I'm unable to one-up anyone until I make a certain number of posts?
.... I sorta feel a little incompetent here, not gonna lie

Typically, you have to post 10 posts before you really get permissions to do different things like view people's profiles, PM, etc.
As far as giving reputation, it's this button here:
If you don't see it, you may need to post 10 posts.

Ah ok, right now I only see that button in posts that I've made. So I'll have to post some more.
Thanks for clearing that up!

Sounds to me like you didn't activate the account. If I recall when you sign up it sends a link to the email you used to sign up. You have to click on that link & it completes the registration.

On the same topic, can you see the reputation you have except for the "Last reputation received" with 5 or 6 entries in there?

Looks like I can now see profiles, reputation, my inbox lol... so everything's all good. Thanks everyone!
