bandwidth command

im on a 3950 switch and im trying to get real time bandwidth. Primarily how much bandwidth a particular interface is getting in real time... is there such a command.. its got ios 12.1... i read bout corvil but that for 12.3 and dont even know if its for that? anyone ?

Do you mean you actually want to see the amount of bandwidth going through the interface, like the actual line speed?
If so I cant say for sure but I dont think so. There is a bandwidth command in which you can specify the bandwidth of an interface, like for a routing protocol. I guess the only way to find out is a bit of trial and error.

The "show interface" command can display the last 5-minute input and output rate of an interface in bps. Is it what you want?
