CEH v9 Resources

The reviews on this book seem a little shaky:

Anyone here used it and have opinions on it? My plan was to go through it and then work the Boson exams.

That is the book I am going through now. Its decent.

To be honest, I think the Matt Walker All In One books is much better. I read both.

Currently the Walker book is v8, but I used it to pass v9. Or, if you could wait just 2 weeks, his v9 book will be released.

I'm not saying Sybex book is TERRIBLE, and cant be used, I just absorbed and learned more from the AIO book.

Also, good idea on the Boson test sim. I'm a big fan.

Any opinions on Keith Barker's CBT Nuggets course? I would imagine it's good as he's a great instructor.

Cant say that I have any experience with that one. I will say that the Georgia Weidman course on Cybrary is pretty good (And free).

I've read through the Sybex book and though it obviously covers the topics in the v9 (being official n all) it's a pretty thin covering. The Matt Walker book gives far more useful, in depth and amusing, information. Even though it's for the v8 I'd recommend that over the Sybex offering any day. My guess is that they expect you to be attending the official training course as well for it to be of any use.
