Is there a lot of value to the collaboration certification?

I would think so, phones are not going away in businesses...A good friend of mine is studying his at his new job. I think specializing in certain technologies of IT makes you more valuable, especially whenever you master it.
2018 goals -> PenTest+ Beta (failed), Linux+ Beta (pending results), CEH (mid Dec)
2019 goals -> Linux+ 103/104 (Jan/Mar/Depends on Beta results), KLCP (June), RHCSA (Dec)

I'm going to be studying it myself. My job is in the process of upgrading to Cisco CUCM. I may do it after CCENT. I have a telecom background.

There's definitely value in knowing the technologies and having the certification. There's also value in being a Microsoft Lync expert. The question is does it interest you though?

I'm getting started on a project myself. I look forward to learning it, but I don't see it as something I'd specialize in.
