CSA+ coming 1Q 2017

CSA+ (CyberSecurity Analyst)

Looks to be an "in between" exam of Security+ and CASP.

They recommend Security+ ---> CSA+ ---> CASP

It's ok. Everything is on a major delay before it reaches Arkansas...

I took the beta exam and found it to be interesting and bit fun, actually. Can't wait to see what the results were. I just wish I knew when the results would post.

We had a visit from one of CompTIA's executives today. Looks like the CSA+ exam will go live most likely in February. Right now it won't be added to 8570/8140 but they are working on it. We will see how long it will take.

There seems to be a lot of certifications now that are aimed at SOC techs. EC-Council CND, Logical Operations Cybersec First Responder, CCNA CyberOps and now CSA+. It will be interesting to see how they hash out.
