Newly arrived !!

Need some advice to start job hunting. I arrived USA (NYC) about a week ago. Can anyone suggest me from where I should start? I have 3 years of experience in IT (Desktop support, Windows Server, VMWARE, Backup Exec/Netbackup) along with a Masters in Telecommunications and couple of certs.

P.S: I have green card as my wife is a US citizen. And also we are residing in Jamaica, New York.
