Cisco Cybersecurity Specialist certification OR Comptia Security+ for beginner?

I am looking to change my profession. As I do not have any related job experience, I would need some entry level certification to convince my employer.
So far, I have been preparing for Security+. But recently I came across Cisco Cybersecurity specialist cert, and it looked interesting. I know it is vendor specific, but given the fact that Cisoc is huge, this certification looks good too.
Please suggest if I should continue preparing for Security+ and get that, or should I get the Cisco cert instead?
Or is there any other better recognized entry level security certification?
Thanks

I had never heard of the Cisco Cybersecurity Specialist and just looked it up and the recommended prereq. is CCNA Security level knowledge. I'm assuming you haven't had a lot of exposure to networking and think this would be difficult.
Sec+ is entry-level and very well known and is a great start.Certs: CISSP, CISA, PMP -

I agree, this is true.Certs: CISSP, EnCE, OSCP, CRTP, eCTHPv2, eCPPT, eCIR, LFCS, CEH, SPLK-1002, SC-200, SC-300, AZ-900, AZ-500, VHL:Advanced+

FWIW, I did Security+ before CCNA Security and found that it was very beneficial to have that background knowledge first.2017 Goals - Something Cisco, Something Linux, Agile PM -

Not many people know about the Cisco Cyber security specialist cert. Also, as the name implies, that's supposed to be a specialist certification, not really entry level.
I'd maybe look into getting your Cisco CCENT and then CCNA Security. Or possibly have a look at Cisco CCNA Cyber Ops cert (available Nov/Dec)
