When to start using practice exams & staying fresh on old content

For the CCENT/CCNA material I've got two quick questions

1. At what stage of your study would you start looking at practice exams?
2. How often do you go back and revise previous chapters/what strategy do you use to keep the older content fresh?

1. I do practice exams after I have completed reading the material.
2. I use the practice exam results to determine what my weak areas are and go back to read those. I go back as often as necessary.

That sounds like a reasonable approach as I felt like if I started too early it'd be learning to purely ace the practice exam. I'll make the practice tests the 'icing on the cake' of my study plan Thanks!

I used them after reading and labbing. I read the book(s), watched videos, labbed in between, then did Boson a couple weeks before exam day. Good luck.
