To the people who are into luxury timepieces, do you guys buy from gray market, AD, or pre-owned? What's your take on it?

If you want a gray market rolex look at topnotchwatch.com - I've bought several here and had them authenticated, he basically buys from authorized dealers to help them meet their quotas

Recently picked up a Garmin Fenix 5X. It has replaced my first generation Apple watch was my daily wear. I will say though, don't get the X if you have small wrist. This thing is a monster!

    I haven't worn a wristwatch in years.

I used to wear a cheap wristwatch ever since my parents gave me one in grade school to teach me how to tell time. That ended sometime in college when I kept having to take it off because it kept getting caught on equipment when I worked as a computer tech. I gave up on taking it off and putting it back on and just kept the wristwatch in my pocket until it broke. Then I decided to buy what I then thought was an expensive gold pocket watch, it cost about $100 as I recall. That was a constant for telling time for a few years until a short time after I got a cell phone. I realized the cell phone kept time just as well as my watch and therefore didn't need both. I still have the pocket watch, it's in a box around here somewhere. I'll sometimes wear it if I want to look "sophisticated", which isn't very often.

I did wear a wristwatch for a few weeks in the Army. I was not allowed to have my cell phone in training but I was still expected to be in formation on time. So I bought a wristwatch. That too is in a box somewhere around here.

So, since college I've kept time with some sort of device in my pocket, with the exception of those few weeks while in the Army.

My first real watch was a Casio Edifice EF-300 , I loved that watch (probably because it was the second most expensive thing that I had back then (the first was an Ericsson mobile) :D ).

For daily wear a standard fossil. I have a nice mechanical Oris dress watch for certain occasions and another mechanical Victorinox Dive Master (under rated brand for watches IMO) that I've had for 6+ years and still gets a lot of wear.
I've only 2 jobs in the last 10 years where I can have my phone at my desk; as such I will likely never get a smart watch.
Would love to get a Tag, Omega, etc. but can't see myself spending that much money for one.
