need help wit active directory user property

I have Usr property ... byte array
ant I store something like xml (data tree structure)
I want to query active directory but dont't want to read all array ... just one leaf from tree ... this means that AD must return part from this binary array ... and means may be must remake result ...
can this is possible ...
I dont want to take all binarry array on my client application ... just result (may be over one alogritham over this array)
