The latest would be mini-ITX.

Actually, although SFF (Small Form Factors) is becoming popular, especially with those wanting to use smaller machines (for use as an H.T.P.C. for example), I would have to disagree that mini-ITX (one example of SFF) is NOT the "latest motherboard style"...
Instead, I would say it's probably the BTX (Balanced Technology Extended) form factor (version 1.0B released in July 2005). There is of course full sized BTX and three other BTX variants known as pico-BTX, micro-BTX and their newest added in July 2005 known as nano-BTX...
