VCP 5.5 fail

barberj66barberj66 Member Posts: 86 ■■■□□□□□□□
Took this today and scored a 282 icon_sad.gif

My own fault really I thought the voucher from Stanley was for 2 years but I thought I'd check and it runs out at the end of this month so had to just schedule it and take it.

Really had to cram all the revision into the last 2-3 weeks which included building the lab watching all the CBT nuggets vids right up until last night. So I can't really be too disappointed/suprised apart from not pulling my finger out and just hitting the books as soon as I did the Stanley course rather than leaving it.

Although now my voucher has expired and the Exam is being retired I guess my only step now is to re-do the training on 6.x and start again?

Live and learn!
Goals for 2019: ICND2 first of all then see how it goes.
CCENT Passed 28/11/18!

I don't know if you can book another attempt at the exam using your voucher, but if you can - do it now before the voucher expires.

Schedule the exam for a few weeks from now, but do book it.

If that's not possible, you'll end up having to pay for the exam yourself - which means VMware won't recognise that you took the training, so you'd need to take it again (although on vSphere 6)

Yeah the Voucher is only valid to be used up to 31/01/17 so I'm a bit stuffed with it.

Going to have to go the long way and re-do the training on 6.

Which Stanly CC session were you in? Just curious I was in the October to December 2015 one. I had my exam set this month, but ended up rescheduling it to February 23rd.

Just making sure even though I have it rescheduled, that if it still counts--such as my voucher being expired.

It would of been the Oct-Dec 2015 one I was part of too. When I try using the voucher it states on Pearson Vue that it cannot be used after 31/01/2017

Maybe you claimed your voucher later then me? I would of thought if Pearson let you reschedule without any errors you will be OK. Good luck!

If the 5.5 haven't expire I would try it again. Take some time out and study...I believe the passing score is 300.

The voucher he had has expired, which was from a VMware IT Academy for the VCP550PSE exam.

It's the voucher that proves he took the training, so now he cannot do that - which of course is a requirement for any VCP.

So, while the exam is still available, he can't take it and can't get his VCP.

When will you rise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep, So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler And your need like an armed man.
