I tried to study for my CCIE exam while pursuing my MBA--huge mistake. Now I am fully focused on my CCIE after completing my MBA. Listed below is my reading plan to prepare for the written exam:

- Narbik Kocharians CCIE R&S workbooks

- Cisco OCG

I figured by this time the new CCIE book should be out.

- CCIE Routing and Switching v5.1 Foundations: Bridging the gap between CCNP and CCIE (Practical Studies) 1st Edition

I will watch CBT nuggets videos here and there, I should be ready for the CCIE exam by then. Thoughts and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Good luck on that, mate!

The most difficult part is to achieve consistency and take no days off. Besides that, you just need to keep moving forward until you make it.

Neil Moore 8x CCIE in an interview said along the lines that he studies for his CCIE exclusively and avoids trying to multitask different certifications. Good luck with your studies :)
