SITCS Lab question on Firewalls

craigaaroncraigaaron Member Posts: 132
Hi all,

Not posted in here for a while but have some questions with the lab requirements specifically around firewalls.

I have an existing ASA5505 and was wondering is it enough to work with another higher ASA e.g. 5510

I have been looking at 5510 with IPS module and was wondering how different it is to later version?

or do i have to get a 5500x with firepower?

Thanks

So just keep the existing ASA 5505 and get a newer 5506 ?

If you can get a 5506, you can lab the new exam instead of the old exam.

You only have until March 31st to write the old one, so if you know you won't be ready by then, I wouldn't waste your time with CX or IOS IPS.

I don't understand why they still included CWS on the new exam though since it's End of Sale.

Yeah, what he said. I was looking at material for the 207 recently, then realized it's going to be up before I get a chance to dig in too much.
