Certification Advice

I have been debating on which security certifications to pursue since I graduated last May. As background, I graduated last May with a degree in Information Security & Forensics and am currently working as a Security Analyst for worldwide transportation company. I'm not sure getting the Security+ is worth sitting for as I hope a degree in the Security field would be enough to satisfy basic security certifications. My ultimate goal is to earn the CISSP certification and manage a security program. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!
