Yeah on the Microsoft ones the border is a different color for each level. The MCSE was black, the MCSA and MCP are both blue, and the MCT is Gold.

"And the only one that actually look 'and feels' like a certificate:"

Yeah most of em don't anymore. The CISSP is probably the one I have that fits into that category. It's very thick, the lettering is raised, and there's gold leaflet all all over it.

    Nice certs Johan :D

I think Cisco changed the layout of their certificates cause my CCNA looks different in the sense that its more rectangular and some minor changes in the texts but i love the way it comes in a package. I'd still love to get the MCSE.

Hey Keatron. Do you mind giving us a glimpse of your CISSP? :)

Its awesome. Looks like a seriouse quality cert. I can't help noticing the full paragraph of summary about its importance. I wonder what that says. May be something like "This guy can kick hackers ass big time icon_lol.gif "

Its in my dream list but the requirements are far from my wildest imagination.

I just wanted to add that all those certs look really cool and i think this is the phattest thread by far.

Amazing, the price of hard work :D

I am a bit dissapointed to see that some of the certifications look stone ugly. Many look like those awards that teachers buy at the dollar store to award their 3rd graders the 'Student of the Month Award'.
I would like to comment on a few,

Looks like you classic diploma, you cant go wrong with that.

I really like this one, it looks even more professional than the CWNA while still having slick artwork.

I understand what you are saying. The gold emblem really sets it out. However the Brainbench label just screws it up. I dont want my diploma to look like something from Chucky-Cheese.

The gold emblem looks nice, and the background isnt bad either. All and all it is a real badass certification.

    It's so... white!
Jeeze, with all the money one pays to obtain a cert, you would think they could not be so thrifty on the printer ink.

I say that if one cant think of a good cert design, then the classic look is better than pulling off some goofy looking crap. This one goes for the classics, and I approve.

It most likily says, "This certificate vertifies that its owner posses the l337 sk1llz needed to dispatch annoying 5cr1p7k1dd135".

    Woo hoo!

No watermarks! Gonna go print these out and skip the classes! icon_twisted.gif

On a serious note, you may want to put watermarks on there to prevent such a thing from happening.

I thought that the new generation of MS certs were supposed to be product-oriented? Why does it not show what product your MCTS is for?

Because they are examples of how the design is.

These are not my certifications and they are not exactly down to the tee how a real certification would look. These just give you an idea of how they are designed.

If one is going to go through that much work to copy the certificates and try and blow them up and keep the quality GOOD LUCK. I have better things to worry about than some newbie trying to blow up some microsoft certs and trying to pass them off as his own. Any big organization that I have applied for has always asked for my MCP IP number and CompTIA number to verify.

So I just received my new reprints of my A+ and N+....

Wow, IMO I think Comptia is going down more and more every year as far as their certificate quality is concerned. It is printed on regular printer paper and looks like CRAP.

It has this flashy background and the certifcation looks flat, not glossy.

Totally agree here. Just got my Security+ certificate today. Ran off a copy to keep at the office, and just regular old solid ink looked nicer and glossier than whatever they used to print the original. The older, gold-bordered ones posted above look better and more professional than this thing.

I have received a certificate for Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, Windows Vista: Configuration, Charter Member

Any idea what does the Charter Member mean?
I'm not expecting to receive this certificate at all as I have previously received all the relevant certificates for Vista exams.

Please help me to solve this "mystery" icon_redface.gif

Slightly off topic, charter member means he achieve the certificate "early" in the release of the exams. I believe it's the first 5000 members.

so am I suppose to keep this charter member certificate for my job Interview or do I just produce the normal certificate (non-charter member)?

umm....It makes no difference whether you were certified as a charter member or not. All it says is that you got certified before alot of people. It's the same requirements, same exam objectives, same exam blueprint. It's only a matter of when you were certified.
