VLAN Question

Do VLAN's segment collision domains or broadcast domains? I would think it's a trick question because VLAN's are segmented with fewer collision domains or a smaller broadcast domain...I hope this makes sense, if not, please excuse my ignorance.

If you put the question like that, the answer would be broadcast domains. Every switchport on a switch is an individual collision domain. Check out the following for more info:
