Passed CISSP Exam on 15 Feb 2017 - First Attempt
rbsatish
Hi All,
Passed the gruelling 6 hr CISSP Exam on 1st Attempt. Used only the Sybex official guide and the practise tests. Prep was ~2 months but completely dedicated (1.5 hrs daily at a min). I hold a CISA so was able to answer audit related questions. Was certainly a tiring exam but happy to have passed.
Got the provisional pass letter from Pearson VUE immediately and the official mail from ISC2 on 18th Feb. Submitted proof of workex on 20th. Awaiting their approval. Heard it takes 15-20 days for the approval to come about.
This thread has been a great help! Thanks a ton...

For the approval, I wrote SSCP and I submitted my endorsement request on March 6th, I received ISC2 approval on March 31th.
Congrats on your success!

Mine took 4 weeks, to the day, from when it was submitted.

That's quite a lot of time assuming ISACA does it in under 15 days. Not sure why the proof checking should take this long.

ISC2 says the process can take up to 6 weeks. There is a thread here where people have waited the full 6 weeks.
