I personally like the old security program they had. CCNA is more practical and looks better on your resume. Adding another CIW cert is gross.

I agree about the CIW cert. I think they finally have some continuity between BS and MS programs by adding the EC-Council certs. They still have the IT Sec degree, so this one is geared to a different enough audience. Now, the ITIL cert is interesting.

I totally agree. They could've junked the CIW certs and replaced with something else, even the new CompTIA CSA+. I'm guessing CIW and WGU have some type of contract agreement with each other or something.

Maybe CIW has some risque pics of some WGU c-level guys or something. The whole point is to be marketable and outside of this message board or WGU graduates, I've never once ran across someone that heard of CIW. But the degree itself with the word Cyber should be a nice benefit.

Had to put off my enrollment in the BSIT:Security program for a while, and discovered the new Cybersecurity & Information Assurance program.

Does anybody know what certs map to the major courses? Anybody that's gone through a transcript eval for this degree, perhaps?
