ROMMON iOS image recovery keeps timing out

HI Guys,

I tried to upgrade the ios on my router which failed, im now trying to put back the original image but get the following error in ROMMON mode:

I know its not an issue with my TFTP server as on another router with the same IP settings configured it works when donloading and uploading data.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is and how to resolve it?

Surprisingly it is solarwinds TFTP server im using as TFTPd64 doent work due to IP bind error

When I had issues with solarwinds tftp I ended up switching to tftpd64. Of course your having issues with both, so I'm not sure what to suggest.

I think the solarwinds issue could be a block size issue. Never figured it out though.

Thanks for the info, looks like doing an xmodem transfer seems to be working, although its gonna take 13 hours to transfer the 33mb ios through the console cable, Ill post an update tommrow morning to see how it went.

Are you still using the default bitrate for the console & xmodem. Look at pumping it up to the devices maximum. That should speed up the process. Another option is to quickly spin up a Linux VM and get TFTP cranking on there.
