Linkedin has also started a Glassdoor type service
    https://www.linkedin.com/salary/

I guess the glassdoor one takes it a little further with asking how many years of experience you have and not just based off location and job title

It definitely throws some interesting numbers.

Told me I was making 30% less in my market (exact city) based on experience and general job title.

i find those sites to be highly inaccurate

they go based on job title

    thats straight retarded

One System Administrator ( by title) at one place is NOT the same as another System Administrator (by title) at another place.

Thanks to all who responded. I realized shortly after posting the thread that it was just a "souped up" version of the usual salary estimator, but I couldn't edit or delete this because I couldn't access it for a while.

I think all of these salary estimators are good for reference but my general rule is to always stay on the more modest end of the scale, so I won't outprice myself.

Sorry but we can't create your market value estimate right now.

I guess I'm priceless, or worthless.

If my new position goes through I will be 7.0% under paid.
