Annoying flowery adjectives and adverbs in work emails

Is anyone else annoyed when you see phrases in work emails like, "Just a gentle reminder" or "Kindly reply back"?

It makes me want to say, "How bout I gently remind you by kindly beating you with a stick?"

Maybe I have some unsorted anger issues...not sure icon_blackeye.gif

    Ah, passive-aggressive communications. My favorite.

In an intro email it's fine- especially if it's addressing several people. I guess I never gave it much thought. Of course I've been using "Hey Fuckface" in my emails for years.

@packetphilter Some people make everything slightly more awkward when they're asking something of you. As long as I don't have to suffer through a phone call with them they can gently by the by time permitting all they want. I will count that as a win

There is always that one ******* SDM that does this in every workplace. Like, reminding people what time the workday officially starts even though you were up till 1 AM doing maintenance and connected remotely this morning from home while sipping coffee, or asking people to be quiet in the hallways even though they choose to leave their office door wide open and expect everyone else to act like it is a library.
