Interesting tidbit, despite Ashley Madison Hack,site continues to attract more users

The Ashley Madison website claims to have 50 million users, up from 37 million since the August 2017 hack. I find two things interesting with this.

1. The average users really doesn't care about computer security. You would think a hacked website that exposed all men's dirty little sex secrets, address and credit card information would give pause to men signing up for this site. If the increased in users accounts statistics from Ashley Madison claims are true, the average person still does little to protect themselves from cyber theft. They will lock there house and car doors, set the alarm, avoid walking certain places of the city at night, but when they log into there home computer, it's a complete disregard for security to protect themselves.

2. Most men are complete morons. I would have thought after a research analyzed the Ashley Madison female database determined that only about 12 thousands of the 5.5 million female accounts checked there email, ever. Which means that 99.998% of the female user accounts on Ashley Madison are fake. It's either that or they created an account and never bothered to check there email, EVER. It's well documented from former employees that Ashley Madison regularly creates fake female accounts and emails male users enticing them to pay to check there email. You would think this information would damage the companies reputation enough that users would stop paying for subscriptions. Most online users are smart enough not to fall for the Nigerian Prince scam, but apparently if it's a Nigerian Princess with a hot photo included, they can wait to rush down to Western Union to send her their money.

Thanks for straightening me out. You don't go from a 1,100 ranked website to a 3,911 to a 5,645 rank while adding users. I guess nothing Avid Life Media says is true, they have repeatedly lied and twisted facts to serve there own purposes.

All publicity is good publicity? (Assuming all the new users aren't bots) maybe people didn't even a site like that existed before it was in the media.

I actually laughed out loud at this haha. Maybe scammers should take note..

I thought that they were actually in legal trouble with a government entity over the knowledge that most of their female users were script-bots. It wouldn't seem likely they would want to double-down on that if it were the case. But, it's probably WAAAAYYY more men on the site who didn't even know it existed before. If those guys didn't know it existed before, they probably didn't do any research into the fact that most of the women were bots. I can't wait for some good stats on this to know more about it.
