Candidates have already earned an MCSA: Windows Server 2008 OR MCSA: Windows Server 2012 R2 certification.
So yeah i'd say you can upgrade with 70-743 no problemo.

If you have a MCSA Windows Server 2008 or 2012, you can do the 70-743 to get the MCSA Win Server 2016.
