WGU Transfer Evaluation

Hey guys! I have a start date at WGU for July 1. I received my transfer evaluation today (I was surprised because it only took 3 days :D)

Anyways, I transferred in 72 credits since I already have my A.A degree (though not in IT), A+, Sec+, MCTS:W7 and CCENT. I'm missing one General Ed class and 9 major core classes - maybe 8.

All in all, this is what I'll be dealing with when I start. What do you think the expected time frame for graduation is? I would really like to be finished in December - is it possible with these classes?

Organizational Behavior and Leadership
Business of IT - Project Management
Network and Security - Applications (I'm appealing this one because I have Security+ CE)
Data Management - Applications
Interconnecting Network Devices
Designing Customized Security
Spreadsheets
Principles of Management
IT Capstone Written Project

Was your Sec+ within the last 5 years? That might be the issue they have with it.

With the classes you have left it, I think you could easily be done in one term as long as you put in the time and effort on the two courses that (may) take you the longest (ICND2 and CCNA Security). This is dependent upon how far long you are studying with these to begin with. I'd start studying for ICND2 right away (before the term even starts) so you can take the test within the first month and spend the time you need on the CCNA Security. Everything else should be fairly straight-forward. As long as you put in the time this should be totally possible.

    Good luck!

For what it is worth, you could also knock out Org Behavior through Straighterline, and take the CIW Database Design Specialist Exam to knock out Data- Applications. That should make a single term that muc more doable.
