I went to BSides KC, it was a sold-out event. It was a good time with good people and fascinating topics. They had free beer, a car-hacking demo, great swag, excellent panel, and awesome raffle prizes (they gave away a lot, including 2 - 4 mo. Netwars Continuous Subscriptions!). All in all, I'll definitely be going back next year. Hope you go and enjoy!

Thanks, I plan on going, I have tickets already. I have heard good things about bsides events so I am looking forward to it. I don't think there is free beer but maybe I'll be surprised.

How quick do these sell out?

I'm not sure. they still are allowing registrations online from what i can see; $20 for gen admission and $100 for VIP tickets.
