MTA: Networking Fundamentals

So I'm taking this tomorrow. I've been training for about a week, and my previous IT experience has served me very well in all topics, but for one.

Ports.

I know what they are, what they do, etc. I just can't seem to memorize the most common ones. It's my only weakness. I'm frantically spending all day going over and over them again and again.

We'll see how it goes tomorrow morning!

Are you talking about port numbers and protocols? If so, I usually memorize the number and first couple of letters of the protocol and put them together.

Try www.examcompass.com for their free port quizzes. This site, also has some free port quizzes. You can download a CompTIA Net+ app and just focus on ports also. There's lots of material out there. :) Good luck!
