Just some thoughts in my head that might help others preparing for this. My employer pays for training/testing and this can be used as credit at WGU, so why not?

Materials:
-Matt Walker's AIO. This is a great resource, easy to read. No fluff, but readable.
-Skillset.com I used a 3 weeks for free, got up to 79% ready then bought a 1 month sub to get that exam pass guarantee now that the CEH is $950....I answered about 4600 questions, finally score of 100% ready. The encryption section, web host/web application vuln section and the nmap sections of study were very helpful for me, but some sections were FAR to in depth for the CEH. Also, the comments and bickering in the comments was a bit of a distraction and made me wonder if this stuff was actually going to help.
-Boson practice tests. FANTASTIC material. Read the full descriptions, make notes of items you don't recognize in the full descriptions and find alternate sources to explain those concepts. Between Walker's AIO and Boson, I think that would have been good enough to pass (but who wants "good enough"?).
-Oriyano's Study Guide. I read the first two chapters, skimmed 3-6 then stopped. I was not seeing anything new and I had --Boson practice tests which were still showing me things I had not seen yet. Time is a resource, if I had unlimited time I would have read this book.
Google I used this for 1/2 of the terms I did not understand. It should be a no brainier. Google for knowledge.
Exam experience:
The grammar issues mentioned by others were almost gone. I had two questions that were "WTF?" style wording, but similar to how text messages get auto-corrected. So if your comfortable with deciphering your parents texts messages, you should be fine with this aspect of the exam. The test questions on the CEH site have horrible grammar and structure, that is what I expected when I sat for this exam today...I was pleasantly surprised.
The test touched on just about everything covered in Boson in some respect. The thing to remember is there is the CEH answer and the "real life" answer. I distinctly remember one question where I knew what ECC wanted, but their was definitely another answer that was correct 99% of the time....go with what the ECC wants. Don't overthink the question, I don't think they are going to try and trip you up. Skillset.com has trick questions, I don't think the exam did.
Lots of common sense type of stuff, be ethical, don't blackmail, yada yada...
About me / background:
It took me about 7 weeks to prep for the exam, about an hour and five minutes to take it and 2 minutes to dance out to my Jeep.
I have 4 years of total IT experience, 1 year in a financial institution working on the technical compliance (GLBA) and remediation. That experience helped a lot on the "policy, procedure, guidelines" stuff, but I learned all the tools and outputs during that 6 weeks.
I have a CCNA and ITIL +, both helped a tiny bit in their own way. I spend most of my days at work either doing networking or security related work, so work experience helped a lot.
Any questions, feel free to ask!

Next cert? CHFA (for more transfer credit into WGU), but that will wait until after this fall which is my last full semester for my BS from a local college. Thanks! -

Are there any puzzling references to tools? I noted one of the stickies by sexion mentioned the material exposing you to 500 some tools, but only 20 will be used for the exam. I asked senior students who tried(and failed) the exam mentioning that they were asked which tool would be best suited for doing this task and I imagine picking a name out of 4.
I could certainly explain how one might want to use ICMP Echo reply packets to bypass the firewall but I'll be buggered if I have to pick out the one name out of the 4 choices I have out of the 500 I read between 4 books that actually accomplishes that.
