Vmware study and requirement

I am new in this i am system administrator i want to learn vmware for my career growth and gd future .

What kind of study and experience require for this ?
how to prepare myself to start this ? i dont have much money to afford this big classed fee

can you expert guys please help me

VMware is a company, not a product.

I'm assuming that it's vSphere that you wish to learn about - as opposed to NSX or any of VMware's other products.

Do you have a background in data centre hardware, operating systems, and applications? This should be considered foundational in understanding what vSphere does and why.

There is a training requirement as part of becoming a VCP, look through this board for posts on Stanly CC for what's probably the most cost-effective way of meeting the training requirement.

I am going through the process to get certified myself and all the info Scott gave was very useful when I just starting out.
