Does anyone know the difference between makeboot.exe and makeboot32.exe?

Makeboot.exe is for DOS or other 16-bit OSs. Makeboot32.exe is for 32-bit OS's. The same applies to any files that have both a xxxxx.exe and xxxxx32.exe (Such as winnt.exe and winnt32.exe).

Well, thats initialy what I thought. But, after entering
\Bootdisk\makeboot32.exe into the Run dialog box, all I saw was a quick screen flash. Are you sure this isn't the makeboot used by the installation disk?

i think all you need to know is that the Makeboot.exe(on the directory contents of Win2k), will make a bootable disk for Win9x. The Makebt32.exe will make a bootable disk for Win2k/NT only.
