Once we reached the 125,000 membership mark I am sure the ISC(2) decided it was time to increase the pressure a bit. Similar to reaching the 50,000 membership mark. Its not like the association needs the money.

Not a big deal. After the ROI of getting the CISSP you salary jump will much more than the measly $100 increase. I had a 45k salary increase after moving to the next job with CISSP in hand.

Plus, SANS just raised price to challenge exams from $1250 to $1699 in July. I had to pay the later, a $450 increase for an already too expensive cert.
