+1 And it seems to be a decent update, but I really don't like that it is not a "BS IT with 'insert emphasis'" but a "BS Cloud and Systems Admin", sounds more like a vocational diploma rather than a degree.

I agree, very vanilla sounding program.

I wonder why they didn't go for the MCSA: Linux on Azure certification. Seems like it would fit nicely into this new degree plan.

    I don't understand this program..

They have Linux+ and LPI certs. They also have MCSA in Server 2012 (which probably 3-5% of cloud guys even bother to touch, mostly ones in .net shops).

Yet no RHCSA/RHCE certs or courses.

I'm scheduled to start Net Op & Sec in January. My enrollment counselor told me a new program was going to be announced soon so I was curious to see the details. It looks interesting but some credits I already have won't transfer to this new plan, and I don't like how generic this Cloud degree sounds.

But there is always, ALWAYS CompTIA A+ in every. single. program. icon_razz.gif

I also wonder why they didn't put in the CCSP or similar certification.

And after having to take it recently I've decided I do despise the A+ exam icon_lol.gif

Looks awesome. Minus the Windows certs. icon_sad.gif
I wonder if an RHCE would replace an MCSA?

I doubt it, I've asked them on Twitter and their reply was that they don' see much demand or something like that.

I don't necessarily want an RHCE to be included in the curriculum. I'm more so wondering if it can be accepted as transfer credit. But I can figure that out by reaching out admissions.
