what do you think of the netapp certifications, is there a market for them?

There is a market but it might be quite small. In the Denver area, using Indeed, I found 48 jobs when I used the keyword "netapp".The easiest thing to be in the world is you. The most difficult thing to be is what other people want you to be. Don't let them put you in that position. ~ Leo Buscaglia

There's definitely jobs out there for people with Netapp experience, but I've only very rarely seen them ask for the associated Netapp certifications. That being said, if you can find someone who is offeringto pay for the training, go for it. I did (though I never took the associated tests) -

I have a lot of lower end certifications from HP, Dell, VMWare, and so on. I really haven't seen these certifications bring a real value to my job search. If you are taking the exams to better yourself, then you should do it. If you are taking these exams and getting these certifications to forward your career and ask for more money, then I would say to think long and hard about it.
