I know before it was compulsory to pass all 3 sections of the exam (410-411-412) but i think recently they changed this, could anyone confirm?
I cant find where it says that you need to pass all 3 sections in https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/learning/exam-70-417.aspx
Thanks

The requirements for MCSA: Server 2012 haven't changed. You still need to pass 70-410, 70-411, 70-412.
The OP is asking about taking the 70-417, which upgrades a previous MCSA to MCSA: Server 2012. On upgrade exams, you used to have to pass each section to move onto the next section. I believe this requirement has been removed, but I don't have a link saying that. -

Interesting. I certainly hope it has. I know the 70-743 has been structured like that since the beginning, but I was under the impression that you still had to pass the individual sections for 417.Certifications - A+, Net+, Sec+, Linux+, ITIL v3, MCITP:EDST/EDA, CCNA R&S/Cyber Ops, MCSA:2008/2012, MCSE:CP&I, RHCSA

I'm not saying that it has changed, but I thought I read somewhere that it had changed. I can't find any supported evidence, so don't take my word on that. -
sthomas Member Posts: 1,240 ■■■□□□□□□□According to this article this doesn't apply to the 70-417 exam just new upgrade exams starting with 70-743.
