Copying a folder

I am trying to copy a folder that is on my c drive over to my external hard drive, but I get an error that says "Cannot copy file: Cannot read from the source file or disk."

What do I do to copy it over?

Run Scandisk on your C: drive and see if it comes up with any errors. If it does, and Scandisk can't repair the errors, you'll need a much more serious data recovery tool, like SpinRite 6 (www.grc.com/sr/spinrite.htm).
