Upgrade MCDBA to MCITP

in SQL Server exams
Hello, has anyone upgraded to the new certification yet. It requires 2exams, 70-431 (MCTS) and 70-447 as the upgrade exam. They are SQL server 2005 tests

    There is some free Microsoft training for those courses as well. I have not upgraded but I plan to this year. I really do not like the new certification name. MCDBA is so easy to understand. The DBA acronym is well known as it is also a job role and all the certifications from Microsoft start with MC so it makes complete sense. MCITP doesn't even say what you know until you say MCITP on SQL Server 2005.

    I'm going to bump this thread. I'm working towards my MCDBA even though it will be disconitnued next year. Has anyone upgraded from MCDBA to MCITP?
