Part-time IT jobs

Is it realistic to look for part-time jobs in IT? Thinking of something 10-20 hours a week.

A part time job in addition to a full time job? That would be difficult since most companies would want you to be available during business hours.

A while back I had a weekend job to supplement my income, but it was not in IT. I liked it that way - since one can only deal with so many tech issues during the week.

Nah, just a part-time job for someone who doesn't need all the money of a full-time job.

I don't see why not. You won't get the benefits of a full time employee though.

I sometimes did some tech gigs on weekends from Craigslist or other odd jobs to supplement my income. :)

I looked on my local Craigslist under gigs and part-time, but found very little. I'm going to keep looking, though. Part-time may be the best route for me, given how my time is divided up these days.

Part-time days with consistent hours will be a tough thing to find. You're more likely to find a part-time job on an intermittent basis during the day or on a consistent basis but for evenings or overnight in a NOC/SOC.

I wouldn't mind evenings or graveyard hours. Not sure I've ever seen a part-time nightshift IT job posted, though.
