Preliminary pass --> actual fail?

Having taken my CISA today and having been given a preliminary "passed", I wondered if there had been instances where someone had taken the exam "passed", only for it to be changed to a fail...

Basically, how much faith can you put in a "preliminary" pass and how it equates to an actual pass.

Do I need to sweat for another couple of weeks to find out?

Cheers,
Tongy

    My preliminary pass on both CISM and CISA turned out to be actual passes. Would be interested in hearing from someone that experienced something different.

    I suppose I don't understand whether it is a complexity issue in their marking/assessment or whether they are reviewing more factors like whether you cheated, brain dumped etc.

    The waiting is horrible! Just like when it used o be paper based!

    Thanks! Scored much higher than CISM, so can't complain :)

    I believe some exam providers collect telemetry data from your session and may indicate possible cheating or another issue where your test results may need further scrutiny. That's why they say your pass is "preliminary". As long as there weren't any red flags thrown up, like maybe clicking through answers too quick, etc., there's really nothing to worry about.
