Resume importers and retyping all your info
thedudeabides
My old resume imported better, but on some advice I redid it my resume completely. Now the importers like it less. This gets exhausting as I'm always correcting them. I started just listing my last two jobs and only one of my certs to avoid manually entering it all over and over again. They still have me attach my pdf resume anyways. Is this likely to affect responses?

Why don't you keep a text version of it in notepad?

I guess that might import better. Good idea.

I assumed that was standard practice, to have a word or .rtf or pdf version of a resume/CV and an ASCII version.
But yeah even with an ASCII version, I always go over what was imported and having to make corrections. Doing this for many companies and job sites does get tedious, but it's all part of the hiring process.
