What aspects of the 901 test should I been studying, in that there is so much information to digest. Any advice would be invaluable to me and thanks in advance.

The A+ exams are heavily scenario-based; it will not only test your knowledge on those objectives, but how well you can put your skills into practice. I would also recommend Prof. Messer's A+ pop-quizzes on his website, which will give you a good idea on what to expect.
