So I am about to sit my XP exam as I am on the rocky road to MCSE. However other than being able to say I am an MCSE (when i get through them all) what else do I get? a bumper sticker?
That's the main idea yes, and a certificate, label pin, and wallet card to prove it. MCSEs used top get a year TechNet, but that feels like ancient history already. I do think you can get a discount.
Hell no. I called them about that a couple of weeks ago and was told it was a promotion around a year ago and they no longer offer it. Needless to say, I was pissed.
I still haven't finished this...!! Will be 2009 MCSE soon... or is it already??!!
Microsoft has decided to let the 2003 track be the last MCSE certification they offer. For Windows Server 2008, along with a lot of other new releases, it's called MCITP. The MCSE is still very sought-after and highly respected, so don't discount it just yet. It'll be a while before the 2008 technologies really catch on.
