Hello all, I wanted to share with you my CISSP journey.
I have been studying for 11 weeks, 3-4h per day maybe a little more during the week-end.
This is definitively hard work, I gave up a lot of my free time for this cert, and having passing it, is a feeling I will never forget.
The examination itself is not very technical but based on your understanding of concepts that you learn in those 8 Domains.
Books used :
-Sybex 8th edition. Read cover to cover once.
-AIO book only to reference myself on weak topics
-11th hour book (3rd edition) I Read this bad boy about 4 times, excellent !
-Sybex Official Practice Tests 2nd edition (only used it online, didn't touch the book)
Test engines used:
-Wiley Sybex online (1320 questions)
-Wiley Sybex Official Practice test (1334 questions)
-Kaplan (Transcender) 2018 CISSP (868 questions)
-Boson 2018 CISSP (750 questions, very close to real exam)
-Laurie Hocking CISSP Questions App (500 questions)
-CISSP Pocket prep App (600 questions)
-Studynotesandtheory (350 questions, extremely close to real exam, hard and tricky.)
Online videos :
-Study notes and theory. By far the best videos/website out there. Luke is a funny guy and is very good at explaining things.
-Cybrary.it : Kelly Handerhan. Free and pretty good. I didn't watch everything though.
-YT, you can find some decent videos. Skillset channel was probably my favorite.
Free PDF notes:
-Sunflower (it's ok, 11th book is better)
-Madunix Notes (gold mine, make sure to read this multiple times)
-Some other PDFs found on studynotesandtheory website.
Chat:
-Budding CISSP on Telegram, you will find the most wonderful people over there.
For now, I am going to take a little bit of a break and start my next cert which will be ECPPTv2.

With the Boson, were they worded similar (a couple sentences each) to the real exam? Or just the topics themselves? I have been doing great with it, but don't want to expect one thing and get another when it comes to the real exam.
Congrats again! And, when I pass thing thing on the 23rd of this month, I'll be joining you in studying for the eCPPT! -

There is a 15% off promo going on right now. https://www.facebook.com/bosonsoftware/
There's also a 25%, but it's been said that it was only until July 31st, but it's still advertised on their Facebook page.
It's $99 normally, so whatever promo you go with, it'll be under $90. -

For all those who went through the CISSP grind before and after you, I have to tell you that it feels like Cloud Nine once you pass it. Congratulations! -
