What would be the average starting salary for NetOps Specialist Mid?
And to those who currently work as NetOps what is the day to day work looks like?

What are "NetOps" duties and responsibilities? Others probably perform similar duties but are considered network engineers, or network admins, etc. Listing out typical duties or skills required for "NetOps" would be helpful.Certs: CISSP, CISA, PMP

I only know of one contract in your region (CONUS all coast) that uses the job title NetOps Specialist (Jr/mid/Sr) and the billing/salary rates are below:
Billing rates/Salary rate:
Jr. $38.19/$16~$22
Mid. $54.61/$22~$28
Sr. $55.97/ $24~$29
Day to day =
- resolving issues that could not be solved by Tier 1.
- monitoring the network using a proprietary program and Blackcore.
- Configuring, deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting Tier 2 network gear.

NetOps Duties:
Under general supervision, monitor the infrastructure and network, responding appropriately to alerts and events
Respond to incidents from triage through resolution, including escalations where appropriate
Respond to infrastructure repairs, including directing remote activities to maintain operational effectiveness for services
Provide root cause analysis documentation in accordance with Government procedures
Provide data center support where appropriate
Document daily shift activities in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues
Provide incident notification to Government representatives -

Sounds about right with the salary rate. Does it include the fringe benefits? I will be working on post and the salary is similar that you posted.
