Solid Definitions for advisory policy vs standard policy
All,
So I keep getting questions wrong on pre-tests. I am almost always mismatching "Advisory" and "Standard" policy. How did you folks remember these?

When I read the explanation, I found it a bit odd so I just kept in my mind that if the nature of the policy is simply to tell employees something without asking or requiring something in return, it must be "advisory" whereas the opposite is "standard."X year plan: (20XX) OSCP [ ], CCSP [ ]

The definition of policy is that it is a statement of obligation - a mandate.
An Advisory Policy is suppose to be a statement that advises someone of an enforcement action or the consequence of breaking a particular policy.
